Volunteers at the troop level can often get great, local support from their service unit volunteers. Reaching out for help locally helps build your Girl Scout community and provides context specific to your immediate area. For example, your service unit’s troop mentor can offer guidance to troop leaders, and service unit cookie managers are there to support troop cookie managers.
Girl Scouts River Valleys also has staff support available to troops throughout the year. Reach out to us anytime with questions regarding troop meetings, troop finances, Journeys, badges, higher awards, council-sponsored events, and more! Staff are happy to brainstorm with you about activities for your troop, answer questions, help you get a troop started up, or tackle challenges.
Troops can contact us online, at girlscouts@girlscoutsrv.org, or 800-845-0787.
