All adults who work directly with girls, manage Girl Scout (council, service unit, or troop) finances, and/or perform tasks in support of Girl Scouts must register as Girl Scout members and must be appointed to a River Valleys volunteer role.
Standards
- Any adult may register as a member of Girl Scouts of the USA.
- Girl Scout adult members who wish to perform any of the above defined activities must be appointed to a River Valleys volunteer role.
- Prior to appointment, prospective volunteers must comply with screening policies and training as required by their role.
- Appointed volunteers must renew their volunteer role each year, and must have their correct role recorded with Girl Scouts River Valleys.
