What are Program Credits?
Each year, Girl Scouts can earn Fall FUNds, Cookie Credits, and Juliette Program Credits through participation in Girl Scout River Valleys Fall Snacks & Magazines and/or Cookie Programs. Between December 2020 and December 2022, Fall FUNds, Cookie Credits and Juliette Program Credits were issued as Program Credits via email. Starting in 2023 Cookie Credits, Fall FUNds, and Juliette Program Credits will be issued in physical card form.
Program Credits earned prior to 2023 that were received via email can still be used, as long as they have not expired.
How are Girl Scouts notified if they earned Program Credits?
Program Credits physical cards will be mailed to the primary caregiver of the Girl Scout who has chosen Fall FUNds or Cookies Credits as their reward.
Juliette (individually registered) Girl Scouts, earn additional Juliette Program Credits in lieu of troop proceeds. Physical cards will be mailed to the Juliette Mentor.
When do Program Credits expire?
Fall FUNds and Cookie Credits expire September 15 of the following year after they have been earned. Juliette Program Credits do not expire. For example, Fall FUNds earned in 2022 expire September 15, 2023 and Cookie Credits earned in 2023 expire September 15, 2024.
Fall FUNds and Cookie Credits expiration dates are extended two years for council-approved extended troop trips and GSUSA lifetime memberships.
What can I use my Program Credits on?
Program Credits are issued by Girl Scouts River Valleys and can be redeemed on the following:
- Girl Scout of the USA (GSUSA) membership dues—including lifetime memberships
- Girl Scout River Valleys service center shops, mobile shops, and camp trading posts
- Council-sponsored program events and camps
- Event fees associated with council-approved volunteer-led day camp and service unit-sponsored encampments
- Girl Scouts of the USA Destination travel
- Girl Scouts River Valleys-approved extended troop trips for Girl Scout Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors
- Approved and completed Girl Scout Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award projects

How can Program Credits be redeemed?
Council Shop Purchases
Girl Scouts can spend their Program Credits on uniforms supplies, books, badges/patches, or anything else fun! Visit our council shops/camp store and bring your unexpired Program Credit card or card number and security code with you to use in-store.
Note: Program Credits cannot be redeemed online for shop purchases. If you can’t make it to the shop, please contact Girl Scouts River Valleys Shop to discuss purchase arrangements.
GSUSA Online Shop
If you want to purchase items from the GSUSA online shop, the Program Credits can’t be used but you can request a special code. Please complete the Online Program Credit Request Form to convert your Program Credits into a code.
Note: This code cannot be used toward purchases in-person at Girl Scouts River Valleys Shops and cannot be used for camp, event, or membership purchases. The original expiration date of converted credits applies. When an online code is issued, it cannot be converted back to Program Credits. The current processing time in which you will receive your code is two weeks.
Girl Scout Membership Renewal
If you are renewing online, log into MyGS and begin your membership renewal. Once on the payment page, you would select Program Credits as your form of payment.
To complete membership renewal using Program Credits, Girl Scouts River Valleys will email you the link to the Program Credit Redemption Form. Please select “Membership Renewal”, complete rest of form and submit. We will take care completing the membership renewal for you! Once we have everything completed, you’ll receive an email confirmation letting you know she’s all set for the next year!

Council Sponsored Camp or Program Event Registration
Is your Girl Scout going to summer camp or excited to attend an upcoming program event? To apply Program Credits to a current camp balance, you can call 800-845-0787 or submit the Program Credit Redemption Form. Be sure to have the camp session name, order number, and camp session dates to complete the form.
To use Program Credits for a new camp or program event registration, you can call 800-845-0787.
Please Note: Program Credits used for camp or program event registrations can only be applied in full dollar amounts.
Council-Approved Volunteer-Led Day Camp or Service Unit Encampment
At time of registration you will provide the day camp or service unit with your program credit number and the amount you want to be applied.
Reimbursement for Highest Awards (Bronze, Silver, Gold Award) projects, Juliette Program Activities, and Extended Troop Trip or GSUSA Destination Travel
Have you paid out-of-pocket for expenses related to Highest Award Projects, Juliette Program activities, Extended Troop Trips or GSUSA Destinations? If yes, be sure to submit your receipts with the Cookie Credits, Fall FUNds, and Juliette Program Credit Reimbursement Form and Girl Scouts River Valleys will reimburse for the approved expenses.
Additional Questions
Can I see the balance on my account?
Yes, you can check your balance at any time at www.storecard.com. You will be asked to enter your card number and security code (CVV). All this information is on the back of the program credit card or in the email you received for previous years electronic program credits.
This site is to check your balance only. You will not be able to see or track your purchases. Girl Scouts will need track their balance and purchases on your own.
Note: Girl Scouts River Valleys does not track purchases and balances.
Can I use my Program Credit card number like a credit card?
No, this is a closed-looped card so you are not be able to use this card number like a credit card and it can only be redeemed at Girl Scouts River Valleys. For example, Target Gift Cards can only be used Target.
Does my troop leader get a copy of my Program Credit Number?
This information is only released to the family. Girl Scouts River Valleys does not and will not provide troop leaders a Girl Scout’s individual Program Credit information.
Can I give my troop leader my Girl Scout's Program Credit number?
Yes! If you consent, you can provide the troop leader with your Girl Scout’s unique Program Credit number, the troop leader can renew her membership or apply payment to a camp registration on your behalf.
Can my Program Credit to be converted to cash to the troop?
Program Credits cannot be converted to cash.
Will my Girl Scout have the same Program Credit number for each program?
Girl Scouts will be issued a new Program Credit number for each calendar year for Fall Snacks & Magazines and Cookie Program. Juliette Girl Scouts Program Credit number will not change from year to year unless they reach the maximum balance amount and then they will receive additional cards.
What if I lose or never receive the email with my Program Credits card number?
You can call 800-845-0787 and we will be happy to send an email with your the card number information.
What if I do not have sufficient funds on my card when I submit to council?
If the amount of available Program Credit is less than the transaction amount, Girl Scouts River Valleys will contact you.
I have paper Juliette Program Credits, can I have them converted to Juliette Program Credits card?
Yes, you will submit the Program Credit Reimbursement Form for Juliette Program Activities. There is a question on the form that you will complete for converting paper credits to Program Credits card. Once you submit the reimbursement form, you will receive an email confirmation with a PDF copy of the form. Mail the paper credits to Girl Scouts River Valleys, 400 Robert Street S., St. Paul, MN 55107 along with a copy of the reimbursement form.
Is there a maximum dollar amount that can be on an individual Program Credit card number?
