ST. PAUL, MN (February 2022) – It’s the sweetest time of the year, Girl Scout cookie time! Girl Scouts across southern Minnesota, western Wisconsin, and one county in Iowa will be participating in the world’s largest girl-led entrepreneurial program from Saturday, February 19 to Sunday, April 3.
The 2022 Girl Scout Program kicks off with a brand-new cookie, Adventurefuls™, joining a lineup of iconic Girl Scout Cookies. Adventurefuls are an indulgent brownie-inspired cookie with caramel-flavored crème and a hint of sea salt—with an incredible taste of adventure in every bite.
Getting your hands on iconic favorites such as Thin Mints is easier than ever. Local Girl Scouts will be selling cookies via in-person booths, door-to-door activity, and online. Beginning on Saturday, February 19, cookie lovers can also find local troops participating in cookie sales at their local Cub Foods store. The Girl Scout Cookie Program narrows the female entrepreneurship gap by equipping girls with the confidence and skills to dream big and do bigger. Every Girl Scout Cookie purchase helps local girls learn important entrepreneurial skills and powers amazing adventures for them. Girl Scouts use their cookie earnings to better their communities, explore new things in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), and the outdoors, plan exciting travel adventures, have fun experiences with their friends, and so much more.
More than half (57 percent) of Girl Scout alums in business fields credit the Girl Scout Cookie Program for developing skills they use today—including money management, goal setting, and public speaking— selling Girl Scout Cookies has helped countless female entrepreneurs over the past 100 years spark their careers.
A Girl Scout Cookie purchase is more than just a delicious treat—it’s an investment in girl entrepreneurs who will grow up to be the female business leaders of the future.
Last year, 11,200 girls from Girl Scouts River Valleys participated in the Girl Scout Cookie Program and sold 3.4 million packages of cookies. Girl Scouts River Valleys is the top cookie-selling council (out of 111) in the country.
