Welcome
Welcome to the first edition of The Cookie Press for Service Units! It’s been eat, sleep, cookies, repeat, designing a program that is innovative, safe, and flexible to meet troops where they are at with participation in the season. Each week, we are here to pass along program updates and give you those “just in time” reminders to keep you on track. Starting next week, we’ll include the troop edition of The Cookie Press for all troop leaders and troop cookie managers. Cookie Central will once again be your one-stop hub for all things cookies. We’ll continue to update Cookie Central as we get closer and closer to Cookie Go Day. Thank you for sharing your time and talent to help equip troops with the guidance they need to be prepared for the upcoming season.
Virtual Service Unit Cookie Training
We kick off our Virtual Service Unit Cookie Training sessions in Zoom this Saturday. We are excited to see you and review the highlights of the season along with the important details on your duties as a Service Unit cookie volunteer. The Zoom links to access the training have been sent by email to all Service Unit volunteers that registered by December 1. If you are not able to attend one of our virtual Service Unit cookie manager training sessions, we’ve got you covered! Our online Service Unit cookie manager training will be available on Cookie Central the week of December 13. Remember that you must have attended a virtual training session or completed the online training as a part of your Service Unit level role. Plus, one of the requirements to earn Service Unit cookie proceeds is to have at least one Service Unit volunteer complete cookie training.

Cookie Rally Orders Due by December 21
If your Service Unit is planning a Cookie Rally, it’s time to order rally cookies and items! All orders are due by December 21—no late orders will be accepted.
Check out ABC Baker’s Virtual Rally Guide for everything you need to know to host your rally safely and still make it a koala-ty event for the girls and troops in the Service Unit! Orders will ship the week of January 10.
Service Unit Notebook Request
Girl Scouts River Valleys shipped a Service Unit Cookie Notebook last week to all Service Unit managers and Service Unit cookie managers who were registered in this volunteer role by November 1. If you did not receive a notebook, you can submit a request for the items by email at girlscouts@girlscoutsrv.org. The Service Unit Notebook will also be posted on Cookie Central.
The rest of the cookie print materials and supplies for troops and girls will ship the week of December 27.
