Due to the high demand, we are working to have the patch be available for purchase in our shop. Please check back the week of February 8 for more information.
The Girl Scouts River Valleys Girl Leadership Board challenges all River Valleys Girl Scouts to a winter of fun adventures and cozy moments by participating in the Girl Leadership Board Winter Challenge.
Starting January 4, all Girl Scouts River Valleys members can participate in this winter challenge. We know we have a long winter ahead of us and Girl Scouts River Valleys’ own Girl Leadership Board is here to make Girl Scouts and their families avoid the winter blues by staying active and connecting with fellow Girl Scouts over the winter months.
How to Participate
All Girl Scouts River Valleys girl members are eligible to earn the patch after completing four activities from Activity Category 1 and two activities from Activity Category 2. The first 100 Girl Scouts to complete the challenge and the online patch fulfillment form will receive a free Girl Scouts River Valleys Winter Challenge patch. Once the limit is reached, patches will be available for purchase in the shop after February 8. The challenge runs January 4 through March 20 or while supplies lasts.

Is there a cost to receive the patch?
The patches are free for the first 100 Girl Scouts River Valleys members who complete the patch fulfillment form.
Can I purchase a patch on my own?
The patches will be available for purchase starting February 8. In the meantime, you can complete more Winter Challenge activities!”
Do I need to provide evidence that I completed the challenge?
Earning this patch is “on your honor,” but we’d love to see images of you completing the challenge. You can do this by uploading a photo when you submit the patch fulfillment form.
Can adults earn the patch?
The patches are available only for Girl Scouts River Valleys girl members.
Can a Girl Scout request the patch more than once?
No. In the effort of fairness, Girl Scouts can only earn one patch each, while supplies last (100 patches available). However, through the patch fulfillment form, you can submit as many photos as you’d like of different winter activities you’ve participated in over the winter months, we’d love to see how creative you can get!
Can I request patches for my troop?
Yes. However, you will need to submit one patch request form for each Girl Scout in your troop who completed the challenge requirements.
When will the patches be mailed?
The patches will be mailed at the end of March, 2021.
