For Service Unit Cookie Managers:
You kept the cookie spirit strong and stuck with us through the changes. Your efforts are incredible and appreciated! In this final issue of The Cookie Press, we wanted to thank you, our valued cookie volunteers, for your efforts during these challenging times. As you take a well-deserved break this summer, we will “bee” busy working on the 2021 Cookie Program. We bid a fond farewell to Kit the fox and welcome the honeybee as our new cookie mascot! Get the buzz on the cookie dates and more details coming this fall.
Continue Earning Troop Funds with Snacks & Magazines Program
Announcing our 2020 Snacks & Magazines program dates! If your troop fell short of their cookie goals due to COVID, participating in this quick and easy program can help in funding troop activities. It’s one order, one delivery for both snack items and girl rewards. Earn troop proceeds of $1 for each snack item and $3 for each magazine order. The average troop earns more than $100 in proceeds. Plus, girls can earn individual rewards and patches. There’s even a personalized patch that you and your girls can earn—it’s way cool! We hope your troop will join Sofia the sloth on her adventures starting in September. Watch for more information coming this summer, and check out our 2020 Fall Product Key Dates (PDF) for your planning purposes.
Girls Exporting Contacts from Smart Cookies
Access to Smart Cookies will be closing at the end of July for the summer. Customer contacts that girls entered in their accounts will not roll over into the next cookie season. Encourage your girls to log into Smart Cookies and export their contacts. This will make uploading those contacts super easy for 2021! To export contacts, select My Contacts under the My Orders tab. Then select Export in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.
Download Smart Cookies Reports
We encourage you to download and save Smart Cookies reports before the end of July. Some recommended reports to save for the troop records:
- Recognition Order Summary by Girl
- Troop Balance Summary
- Girl Cookie Totals Summary
- Girl Cookie Order Detail Summary
- Track Cookie Share
- Girl Balance Summary
Check out the June 11 Cookie Press blog post for more information about these reports.
Report Reward Errors
The deadline to report service unit shipment errors for any girl and troop rewards is July 6. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to report the issue.
The most common errors include:
Provide us with the total items received, the total items listed on the packing slip, and the mailing address to send the items. We can send items directly to the troop if you a single troop was shorted items.
- Example: “I received 75 fox necklaces, but my packing slip says I should have received 80. Please send the 5 necklaces to [TROOP NUMBER AND TROOP LEADER NAME] at [TROOP LEADER ADDRESS].”
Receiving extra items means another shipment was shorted. Provide the total number of extra items received in your email to us and we will provide instructions for next steps.
Provide us with the name of the item and the mailing address to send the item. We can ship directly to a girl or troop to replace a factory-damaged item.
Most shipments received four packing slips:
- A main list with all items
- A list of troop totals for the initial order patches
- A list of troop totals for the headbands and sunglasses
- A list of the troop totals (and size breakdowns) for the hoodies
For any troop PGA rewards, do not use the report in Smart Cookies, instead, use the enclosed packing slips. The Recognition Order by Troop Report can be used to distribute the remaining items. The Expert Entrepreneur charms (including the donation charm), Cookie Combo Personalized patches, and Cookies for a Cause patches will arrive in July.
