This year, World Thinking Day lands on Monday, February 22, but I say why not make it World Thinking WEEK (or month!). We’ll help you out by giving you some great ideas and providing you with lots of content to get the conversation started with your own troop.
CONNECTING with WAGGGS
First, let me tell you a quick story: A few years ago, before I worked for Girl Scouts River Valleys, I had a chance to attend the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations in New York City (something your girls can do too!), where I met an incredible group of WAGGGS girls from around the world. Thanks to Facebook, we’ve been able to stay in touch (networking is everything!) and I get updates now and then of all the amazing things they are doing. So when I saw a few of these girls change their profile photos to the #Connect10Million frame for World Thinking Day this year (get your own social media frame here), I knew I had to do something for In the Loop!

How to earn the World Thinking Day 2016 Award:
- Check out GSUSA’s site for some awesome activities for girls, broken down by grade level OR use the exact same materials that girls around the world are using by downloading the WAGGGS Connect Activity Pack and complete an activity from each category: Connect with Me, Connect with Friends, Connect with WAGGGS, and Connect with the World.
- Finish by cutting out the four ‘connect’ corners (available in the WAGGGS materials) and taking a troop photo. Share it with us on Facebook or Twitter—and don’t forget the #Connect10Million and #WTD2016 hashtags!
